Standard Height Requirements for Amusement Park Rides

Most amusement parks list out the minimum height requirements for all of their rides online so that you can figure out which ones your growing kids will be able to enjoy – we do. Each of our ride descriptions includes the specific height minimums for each ride in the amusement park, but we also know that it can be tough to remember all them. So, we’ve decided to make it simple for you:

All of our rides have minimum height requirements that range from 36 in. to 48 in. This difference of a foot can take a few years to get through, but most kids are able to start riding around the age of 4, and most should be tall enough to ride all rides by 8 or 9. Be sure to measure your kids before coming to the Park if you are unsure about their current height! Don’t have a way to do this at home? No problem – stop by either of our ticket booths and use our measuring stick.

There are some rides  with requirements between 36 in. and 48 in. as well. Some of our rides require riders to be 42 or 44 inches, so keep an eye out for those in-between heights

Best Rides for 4 to 6 Year Old’s

Pacific Park is known for our family friendly rides, and we have a few that are perfect for the young ones experiencing an amusement park for the first time. Rides that go up and down and spin at a speed appropriate for a first-timer will generate excitement for your kids to tell all their friends in school about!

Inkie’s Wave Jumper, Sea Planes and Frog Hopper are three of our most popular rides for preschool to first grade-aged kids, but we have something for everyone.

Fun For Everyone

Some of our faster, bigger rides require riders to be a full 48 inches or taller. Inkie’s Scrambler, Sea Dragon and Shark Frenzy all require riders to be at least 4 feet tall to ride alone, but anyone taller than a 36 inches can get on with a chaperone.
